Revision of the taxation laws was almost happened in every year with the main features of which were to reduce the rates of income tax, while at the same time expanding the tax base and the withholding tax system. Not with standing the reduction in rates, the Government's stated objective is to increase the amount of tax collected by adopting more rigorous enforcement techniques, and imposing harsher penalties for non-compliance. Consequently, the need for competent and proactive tax adviser is greater than ever, in order to ensure that minimum taxes required by law are paid.
